This measures the amount of oil that is leaving the truck during a delivery, and it can be printed out for records.
The delivery person keeps careful records so that they always know how big an order is, how much is in the tank, and how much has been delivered to the customer. There may be many different clients on the roster for the day, and the technician drives the truck to each of them for their heating oil delivery.
