Lease with a purchase option. This means you will lease the property and sublease rooms to other tenants to pay off the lease. The lease agreement can last as long as you and the property owner agree on.
If the seller is in a distressed position, you can purchase it subject-to the current mortgage. You will need to agree to the original terms, and it may not be available for every building.
