Properly Disassembling a Taylor 340 Machine

Posted on September 24, 2018

If you own a sweet shop, you know that it’s essential to have the right equipment. Considering that, many company owners prefer to serve their customers with the help of Taylor machines. This company makes many machines including those that serve slushes. These frozen treats are delightful to enjoy during any time of the year. However, you’ll still need to ensure that your Taylor machines are capable of working optimally. Part of accomplishing this goal requires disassembling your Taylor equipment. With that in mind, here’s how to properly disassemble a Taylor 340 slush machine.

Removing Old Mixture From the Machine

It’s time to remove any product mixture that’s currently inside of your machine. You’ll do this by adding water to your machine’s hopper and pushing the wash button. This helps to remove any mixture that’s currently stuck in your machine.

Beginning Disassembly to Clean Blades

After ensuring there is no mixture in your machine, it’s time to power this item down. This means making sure that your Taylor machine is unplugged. After unplugging your Taylor slush machine, you’ll want to remove the blades. You’ll want to first unscrew the four bottom screws on the door located at the bottom of your Taylor slush machine. You’ll need to remove pins, cushions, and bars in order to access the beater blades. After carefully pulling out the blades, it’s recommended that you wash these items thoroughly.

Removing Rubber Boot and Trays

Next, you’ll need to remove the drive shaft from your Taylor slush machine as well as the rubber boot. Rubber boots are extremely important parts of these machines. That being said, these Taylor parts are also prone to wear that any boot would sustain. If you’re noticing any leakage from rubber boots, it’s a sign that you’ll want to replace this part. With that in mind, you’ll want to also check the status of your machine’s rubber tray. This is where any leaking product will end up. If the rubber tray is clean, there shouldn’t be any leaks from the boot.

Fixing Anything out of the Ordinary

If you notice that your machine is acting up, you’ll want to consider contact a Taylor parts provider. In turn, you can speak with professionals that understand what’s going on with your Taylor slush machine. Many of these situations are easily fixed by ordering the correct replacement part.

To summarize, it’s important to ensure that your Taylor machines are regularly disassembled. Completing this disassembly process ensures that you can safely and properly clean your Taylor slush machines. If you’re thinking of expanding your business, consider checking out other machines made by Taylor. For instance, Taylor soft serve ice cream machines are quite popular.
